Santa Cruz de la Sierra – Bolivia del 01 al 08 de abril del 2013

 El Consejo Directivo y el Consejo de Coordinación de la COICA se reunirán próximamente en la ciudad de Santa Cruz, para tratar asuntos relevantes en el Fortalecimiento Institucional, la promoción de los Derechos Colectivos de los Pueblos Indígenas, el medio ambiente y acciones enmarcadas en la Agenda Indígena Amazónica. Además se desarrollaran una serie de actividades enmarcadas para la sostenibilidad del bosque amazónico con instituciones aliadas que comparten la cosmovisión indígena para mantener un planeta vivo y saludable en bien de la humanidad.

 COICA RECIBE VISITA  PARLAMENTARIOS DE DINAMARCA

La COICA, sostendrá una reunión en su local institucional con una Comisión de Parlamentarios de Dinamarca, el día 25 del presente mes. En esta reunión se abordaran importantes temas que conllevaran a mejorar las relaciones de trabajo para la sostenibilidad de los bosques amazónicos y la inclusión de los derechos de los Pueblos Indígenas en el ámbito internacional.  Los Parlamentarios Daneses conocen muy de cerca el trabajo que viene realizando la COICA en bien de la humanidad, considerando que la COICA es una de las instituciones indígenas mejor estructurada con una agenda definida atraves de la AGENDA INDIGENA AMAZONICA.

 CONFIRMAN REUNION DE LA COICA EN SANTA CRUZ – BOLIVIA

La COICA, ha confirmado su próxima reunión en Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, del 1 al 8 de abril del 2013. Trataran diversos temas para mejorar sus estrategias en la promoción e inclusión de los derechos colectivos de los Pueblos Indígenas Amazónicos. Las organizaciones miembros de COICA y las instituciones aliadas han confirmado su participación para este trascendental evento.

 COICA CUMPLIÓ 29 AÑOS EN SU ETAPA DEL CAMINAR

El 14 de marzo del 2013, la COICA cumplió 29 años de su creación. Los logros institucionales se evidencian en los diversos temas contemplados en su AGENDA INDIGENA AMAZONICA. Ha efectuado diversas propuestas en el ámbito internacional para la promoción de los Derechos Colectivos de los Pueblos Indígenas, cambio climático, Biodiversidad, propiedad intelectual, conocimiento tradicional, etc, en espacios como la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA) y otros.

El Coordinador General de la COICA, Edwin Vasquez Campos, en su alocución invocó en continuar trabajando juntos con las instituciones aliadas para una mejor convivencia pacífica entre los seres humanos, conservando el bosque amazónico para garantizar un mejor porvenir a las presentes y futuras generaciones, respetando el territorio indígena como el sustento de vida. Expresó que  “LA SALVACION DEL PLANETA ESTA EN LA SABIDURIA Y EL CONOCIMIENTO ANCESTRAL DE LOS PUEBLOS INDIGENAS. NUESTRO DEBER ES TRANSMITIRLA DE GENERACION EN GENERACION PARA UN PLANETA VIVO Y SALUDABLE PARA EL BIEN DE TODA LA HUMANIDAD.”

COICA’s Board of Directors and Coordination Council will soon meet in the city of Santa Cruz to deal with important issues in reference to Institutional Reinforcement, the Collective Rights of the Indigenous Peoples, the environment and the actions taking place framed in the Amazon Indigenous Agenda. Furthermore, a series of activities will be developed with allied institutions based on the Amazon forest sustainability. These institutions share the indigenous worldview which consists of preserving a live and healthy planet for the good of all humanity.

 COICA MEETS WITH THE DENMARK PARLIAMENT

COICA will hold a meeting with the Danish Parliamentary Commission in its local facilities on the 25^th of this month. During the reunion, important issues such as, the improvement of the working relations for the sustainability of the Amazon rainforest and the inclusion of the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights in the international arena, shall be discussed. The Danish Parliament is very familiar with all the work that COICA has accomplished for the good of humanity. Considering that COICA is one of the best structured indigenous institutions, its agenda is one of the best defined, it is based on the AMAZON INDIGENOUS AGENDA.

 COICA has confirmed its next meeting in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The meeting will take place on April 1^st until April 8^th, 2013. Many issues to improve the strategies for the promotion and inclusion of the Amazon Indigenous Peoples’ Collective Rights will be discussed during the reunion. COICA’s member organizations and partner institutions have confirmed their assistance in this grand event.

 COICA REACHED 29 YEARS OF JOURNEY

On March 14^th, 2013, COICA reached 29 years since its creation. COICA’s institutional goals can be seen in the varied issues discussed in its AMAZON INDIGENOUS AGENDA. COICA has made many proposals in the international scenario for the promotion of the Indigenous Peoples’ Collective Rights, climate change, biodiversity, intellectual property, traditional knowledge, etc., in spaces like the United Nations (UN), the Organization of the American States (OAS) and more.

During his speech, Edwin Vasquez, General Coordinator of COICA, called upon to continue working together with the partner institutions for a better and peaceful coexistence between human beings. Conservation of the Amazon rainforest should be guaranteed for a better future of the present and past generations, respecting the indigenous territories as the sustainment for life.
